Starting from Turunç House Kayaköy, we reached the beginning of the road that will take us to AFKULE after a 15-minute drive with our vehicle. About 15 minutes walking on the road made of stones paved in ancient times
We reached Afkule Monastery. We started to tour the monastery and felt the history in the first second! The monastery was built by carving into the mountain. The inside of the monastery is as fascinating as the outside! The monastery’s water needs are collected from the cistern, which they fill with water dripping from the stalactites above they were providing. The nature of the region where the monastery is located is so beautiful that one gets distracted! The road to the monastery is on the route with different hiking trails. It was a satisfying trip for us both in terms of sport and culture!
